Forsaken DONE! I present to you, my 10 Man Nurgle Zombie Murder Squad!
Completed - 6/7/14
Reblogged from my painting blog! Finished yet another project this weekend, this time, my Warriors of Chaos Forsaken!
Okay, I promised you painting, so I painted!
This is the first of 6 chaos ogres I have (slightly modded, of course, from a box of Ogre Bulls). The armored shoulder plate is a custom made piece from greenstuff. I did him primarily as a test piece, to make sure I liked the process I had in mind for painting the ogres, and I think he turned out wonderfully! The other 5 will be following shortly.
I did a thing last night.
Finished assembling my slaughterbrute/mutalith.
I’ve magnetized the heads and the tail so I don’t have to buy two
Always reblog the home team!
So, I’m looking for Daemon Prince ideas
For those of you in-the-know, the Warriors of Chaos can field a Daemon Prince as a Lord choice. They can also spontaneously generate one if one of their existing models tosses double-sixes on the “Eye of the Gods” special…
ah… honestly enjoyed the dp kit
not very nurgly but fun to gs on and there’s plenty of extra bits when you’re done making one to almost make a second one edit: pictures of the one you have now?
You can see him vaguely in the “to do list” pic I posted earlier. He’s the tall mass of pewter and greenstuff behind the Ogres.

I’m sure by the time you’re done painting it will be out ;) Can’t wait to see your dryads - and all the other units, too! I must start painting again, too, I bought some new chunks of grass yesterday and can’t wait to use them on the bases
Well, I’ve really gotta get my Nurgle guys done… that army has been in the works several YEARS, and I have very little excuse for not finishing it. I shouldn’t let myself get distracted by a new army. Don’t expect to see my dryads any time in the next few months, as I hammer out the remainder of my WoC
This was especially painful when they were larger than 28mm in scale.
So funny story about this picture (and ironic, really, that it’s warhammer-related!)
This is a snippet of a much larger picture dating back to the days of the Black Plague. It looks like this :
So when I was painting up my Marauder Horsemen, the Plague Wind Outriders, I used this painting as inspiration for the freehand painting on their standard:
… except, you know… with 100% more Great Unclean One instead of some cleric. Because Hail Nurgle.
Uh oh guys… I did a thing.
peppervhartmain said: Not really an ask but I just wanted to say I like your warhammer stuff! I'm a 30ish yo genderqueer/trans who likes the hobby! So I appreciate many of your posts :) do you have a preferred aspect of the hobby or do you consider yourself well rounded?
Thank you very much, and it’s very nice to meet you!
With regards to “aspects of the hobby” are you talking about modeling/converting, painting, & playing? If so, I’d say the firs two are my favorite aspects. I more or less regard my army as an art project I can play a game with. I’m not the most brilliant general, and my dice have a way of turning sour on me, so I’d say I maybe win half the time. My goal was basically to have the prettiest corpses on the battlefield.
I don’t do the tournament scene or anything like that, but I’d like to be able to at least have a chance of winning with my army in the occasional games I get to play.
I hope that answers the question!
So many Warhammer 40k blogs… can anyone suggest any good Warhammer Fantasy blogs? I like hobby, but I’d be interested in reading articles about list building / strategy as well.
thestonecuttersguild, I’m lookin’ at you here, buddy.
